Treasure of Sierra Madre

Daisy's story is below the poster.

Treasure of Sierra Madre was the third movie that Daisy made with Humphrey Bogart (The Maltese Falcon, Casablanca) and the second with director John Huston (The Maltese Falcon).

Treasure of the Sierra Madre was one of the earliest Hollywood productions primarily to be shot on location outside of the United States. Much of the film was shot in the Mexican state of Durango with street scenes done in Tampico, Mexico. However, many of the interior scenes were filmed back in the U.S. at the Warner Brothers studio, which is where Daisy was.

Daisy played the cantina cat in scenes shot on the Warner Brothers lot. She and Bogart got along well after all of their time together co-starring in The African Queen. It was in the cantina scenes that she met a very young Robert Blake who played the Mexican boy selling lottery tickets to Humphrey Bogart's character.

The cantina scenes were generally very easy, except during the bar fight in the cantina. Daisy found a sheltered place behind the bar to hide during the fight where she wouldn't be hit by flying debris or where the actors and stuntmen wouldn't accidentally step or fall on her.
