Miracle on 34th Street
Daisy's story is below the poster.

A holiday movie had always been on Daisy's to-do list, so when she was first approached to play the house cat in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, she was interested. But when she read the script and realized that the role would just be a cameo and that the cat would be fried under a Christmas tree, she declined the opportunity, even though a prop would be used for the dead cat.
The next opportunity for her first Christmas holiday movie was Miracle on 34th Street where she would play a more major role as the house cat for Maureen O'Hara's and Natalie Wood's characters. She was only required to lie around, look cute, and softly purr in the background. There were no lines to learn or any need to listen for cues. She was a natural for that.
The only scene she didn't like and which required some fortitude and acting prowess was at the end of the film when she had to ride in a car. The actors were nice enough, but no car ride, whether in a film or elsewhere, was ever to her liking. The final scene in the new house was pleasant although she would have preferred a nice fire in the fireplace where she could just lie on the hearth and be warm and comfy.
Edmund Gwenn was as pleasant in real life as his character was in the film. She also became close friends with an uncredited actress, Sheryl Deauville, who was Natalie Wood's double in the movie. She and Natalie Wood would later reunite for a totally different type of movie.
