Jurassic Park

Daisy's story is below the poster.

CGI is one aspect of modern filmmaking that really appealed to Daisy: no chases and sudden movements, no screeching or roaring, no loud noises, and no dinosaurs or other large strange things looming in the distance and approaching her. She was oblivious to the green screen behind the actors although she kept her eyes on it trying to figure out why the actors were staring at a blank wall where nothing moved, there wasn't any noise, and there weren't any smells. And they were all talking to it.

She was intrigued with the movement in the few actual life-size dinosaur models, especially the eye of the sick Triceratops that appeared to be looking at her. However, its foam latex and paint odors were not that appealing and she quickly lost interest when nothing else moved.

Even the two models of Velociraptors, which were whole body models rather than just parts like the other models, were uninteresting.

Shooting on location in Kauai and Oahu in Hawaii was very enjoyable with lots of new scents and sunny spots to nap and bask. Those were welcome departures from the confined atmosphere in the studio, and co-stars Laura Dern and Ariana Richards made it even better because they would slip her treats between takes.
